Cocina Felicidad, the new book by Ramon Freixa, where you will discover his inspirational and creative keys to create totally unique dishes.
Ramón Freixa, the renowned Catalan chef with two Michelin stars and 3 Repsol suns. He has presented this year 2023 his book "Cocina felicidad", a book of more than 350 pages, with almost 60 creations detailed in each process and accompanied by his creative keys, and in which he shares some 145 carefully selected photographs of highly relevant products.
In this second one, you will discover a gastronomic work that manages to open up a new dimension by combining a collection of author's cuisine in which sensitivity and flavours stand out with references to tradition but elaborated with avant-garde techniques. Where he develops a cuisine of gustatory contrasts and unique elaboration with the aim of transmitting happiness to the diner.
Ramón Freixa knows very well that happiness comes in the best company. Not in vain, he dedicates his new book to his parents - "To talk about happiness is to talk about them", he writes.
In Cocina Felicidad, you will find stellar collaborations such as that of the journalist and writer Carmen Chaparro, where he establishes a cheerful conversation, and delves into the concept of 'Cocina Felicidad', how his diners have given it to him and how he himself has obtained it by forging his cuisine over three decades of work. He is also accompanied by Boris Izaguirre, the journalist, scriptwriter and writer, with whom the chef stands at the cooker to reflect on his career, his childhood and his family, showing and demonstrating that reflection and joking, fun and elegance, are not only compatible, but equally necessary. And finally, he closes this collaboration with Topacio Fresh. With an accurate account with latent emotion behind every word, the artist, gallery owner and activist recalls the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of her arrival in Spain at Ramón Freixa Atelier.
"You feel life, the night becomes one of those moments and the guests understand in chorus that happiness, without more, was this", she evokes.
