All bags are marked with the quality stamp "COOKING 120ºC/248°F" to easily distinguish them from preserving bags or other brands.
Why is it important to choose special bags for low temperature cooking?
Conservation bags degrade with time and exposure to certain temperatures; for example, they last about 2 hours if exposed at 41°C to 70°C, and last a maximum of 15 minutes at temperatures between 71°C - 100°C. These times are totally insufficient for cooking or pasteurisation, and if used for that purpose, they can transmit toxic traces and components to the food.
On the contrary, Vac-andcook bags withstand cooking in water or steam up to 120°C / 248°F for more than 24 hours.
All plastic components are BPA-free and have the certificates and technical data sheets that certify their quality in each production and product batch.
